What began as a small sole proprietorship later turned into a family business known as Lucksons Battery Sales Center in 2004, and was rebranded in 2022 as Lucksons Trading Company (Pvt) Ltd. This major transformation reflects the company’s growing expertise and expanding business interests that includes renewable energy solutions through Lucksons Solar & Energy Solutions.

Mr. Yasiru Lankathilake, Managing Director and son of Mr. Sunil Lankathilake, says that his father started off with the Lucksons under three guiding principles. That is to build trust, deliver excellence, and serve the community. This statement itself showcases the underlying fact that he did not simply sell batteries to the general community, but built lasting relationships grounded in mutual trust. He further adds that he carried forward his fathers visions with pride.
